My Background
As a child, my love for working dogs began with hunting dogs. My father, an avid hunter, had a talent for training dogs, and we enjoyed hunting Upland Game birds with retrievers and pointers. As a young adult, I started raising and training Labrador Retrievers for the public. However, my passion for showing Reined Cowhorses eventually led me to train stock dogs.
We ran stocker cattle to work our horses on and utilized stock dogs for turn-back help and gathering cattle. After 30 years of experience training dogs, the Border Collie is my absolute favorite breed. They are intelligent, loyal, possess an exceptional drive to work, and their inherent sense of stock and herding is second to none.
Moura's Ace
A few years back, I was looking for a top-notch sire prospect for my program when I discovered Moura Stock Dogs. I was captivated by their stud dog "Joker" and decided to buy one of his male pups, "Moura's Ace."
This Brazilian-bred dog has consistently impressed me with his intelligence, trainability, athleticism, and skills in working cattle and sheep. He serves as the cornerstone of my program, and his puppies have inherited his remarkable qualities.
Clients who have purchased his pups have shared their excitement about their performance as working ranch dogs and trial competitors.
